Privacy policy

This policy explains what data the Share Basket app (شارك سلتك) handles when it is installed on a store running on Shopify, Salla or Zid, and how that data is used and protected.

1. Merchant data

When you install the app, we receive from the platform (Shopify, Salla or Zid):

• Your store’s id, name and domain: to make sure share links belong to your store only.
• Access tokens: stored encrypted (AES-256) and deleted as soon as the app is uninstalled.

2. Shared cart data

When a shopper taps “Share cart”, we store only:

• Product (or variant) ids, quantities and the chosen options (such as size and color).
• Each product’s name, image and price at the time of sharing, used only for the link preview. The actual price is calculated by the store when the products are added to a cart.
• How many times the link was opened and how many times the cart was restored, as aggregate statistics.
• The recipient’s cart id after a restore, then the order’s id, reference, total and currency if an order is placed from a shared cart; used only to show the sales that came from shared carts in the merchant’s dashboard.

We do not collect any personal data about the store’s customers: no names, phone numbers, email addresses, postal addresses or payment details.

3. Technical logs

Our servers may temporarily keep standard technical logs (such as IP address, browser type and request time) for security, abuse prevention and troubleshooting.

Visitors of sharebasket.app

Our marketing website (not the share button inside stores) uses Google Analytics to understand the number of visits, where they come from and which pages are read most; it relies on cookies. We do not send it any data that identifies you. When you submit the “Contact us” form, we keep your name, email, phone number (optional), store URL and message only to reply to you.

4. Retention

• Share links work for 30 days. Their contents (products, names and images) are permanently deleted 90 days after they expire.
• Recipients’ cart ids are deleted 30 days after the cart was restored.
• Access tokens are deleted immediately when the app is uninstalled.
• When Shopify asks us to erase a shop’s data after the app is uninstalled, we permanently delete all of that store’s data (shared carts, statistics and the related orders).

5. Sharing with third parties

We do not sell data or share it with any third party for marketing. Data is processed only by the hosting providers needed to run the service.

6. Security

We use encrypted connections (HTTPS), verify every notification we receive from Shopify, Salla and Zid, and restrict share links to the store’s own domain.
